Our progenitor OKPOKU ⁽¹⁾, together with other early settlers migrated from the present day Bayelsa State to Okopiri (Okochiri) and settled there. Okpoku while in Okopiri (Okochiri) begat IYEREGO⁽²⁾. Iyerego also begat ORUBO⁽³⁾, while Orubo also begat his son and named him after his father IYEREGO ORUBO⁽⁴⁾, who was often referred to as ‘Kala Orubo⁽⁴⁾’ (grandson), and ‘Opu Orubo⁽²⁾’ (grandfather), within the family circle.
